Welcome to My Blog!
Hello, I’m Ellie. In 2015, I made the decision to leave my corporate career behind and set out on an epic odyssey. This transformative journey not only altered the course of my life but also shifted my perspective on life itself.
My travel style prioritizes cost-effectiveness and making the most of experiences within a budget. I’m not quite a backpacker, nor luxurious traveler.
In this blog, you’ll find not just travel information, but also various experiences I’ve had all around the world, as well as useful information from my daily life.
Before Everything
Like many other Japanese, I pursued my education and survived the challenging “shukatsu” or job hunting process, and got a decent job at a major Japanese telecom company. However, following this accomplishment, I soon discovered myself devoting over 10 hours a day to my work at the office. The Beginning of My Odyssey
Starting in 2015, I took a bold leap in my life leaving everything behind, embarked on a three-month adventure that took me through Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, and Bali in Indonesia.
The anxiety of not having a regular income for the first time in my life after high school, along with the excitement of being free to explore the world, gave me a mixture of apprehension and a profound sense of adventure feeling.
It has been a remarkable “epic odyssey” filled with unforgettable moments and eye-opening discoveries. I’ve explored over 50 countries and ventured through more than 100 cities, including some scuba diving and cruising in some places.
―and I’m not stopping there!
I hope to share the richness of my life with others and perhaps inspire them on their own journeys.
